Training and Development Policy

VDC.cloud is committed to delivering high-quality, cutting-edge consultancy services in the cloud space. To uphold our standards, all hired consultants are expected to maintain up-to-date industry certifications and continuously develop their technical and professional competencies.
1. Purpose
This policy establishes expectations and requirements for the ongoing training and development of consultants working with or through VDC.cloud. It ensures our team maintains industry relevance and meets the demands of evolving technologies in cloud infrastructure, security, and AI.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all contractors and consultants engaged by VDC.cloud, regardless of whether they are full-time, part-time, or on a project basis.
3. Training and Certification Expectations
All consultants must hold relevant and current certifications aligned with their field of expertise.
Recommended certifications include (but are not limited to):
- AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud certifications
- Microsoft 365 and Security certifications
- Zero Trust architecture and CCSP
- AI/ML certifications from major cloud providers
Consultants are expected to independently maintain these certifications and renew them before expiry.
4. Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Consultants are encouraged to allocate time for professional development through:
- Online learning platforms
- Vendor-led webinars and certification updates
- Industry events and conferences
VDC.cloud may provide recommendations or access to preferred training resources.
5. Impact of Non-Compliance
Consultants who fail to maintain required certifications may become ineligible for assignment to specific client projects.
Continued non-compliance may result in:
- Temporary suspension from new projects
- Reduced engagement opportunities
- Removal from VDC.cloud’s active consultancy pool
6. Certification Reporting
- Consultants are required to provide proof of certification status at the time of onboarding and upon renewal.
- VDC.cloud may request updated certification records periodically.
7. Support and Queries
While maintaining certifications is the consultant’s responsibility, VDC.cloud supports a culture of learning and may assist in identifying training opportunities.
