This Social Media Policy outlines the expectations and limitations for the use of social media by any consultant or contractor engaged with VDC.cloud. The aim is to protect client confidentiality, intellectual property, and sensitive project information while maintaining VDC.cloud’s professional image.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all communications and representations made on social media by engaged consultants align with VDC.cloud’s values, contractual obligations, and security practices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all independent consultants and contractors engaged with VDC.cloud across any project or service line.

3. Policy on Project Disclosure

Strictly Prohibited: Consultants must not share, mention, or promote any specific project, client, or technical detail related to their engagement with VDC.cloud on any social media platform (including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blogs, or forums).

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Project names, timelines, or deliverables
  • Screenshots or visuals from client systems or platforms
  • Technologies or configurations implemented on client engagements
  • Client logos or proprietary data

4. Permitted References

  • Consultants may state that they are engaged by VDC.cloud as part of their professional experience.
  • Acceptable phrasing includes:
    • “Currently consulting on various cloud projects via VDC.cloud.”
    • “Engaged with VDC.cloud to deliver multi-cloud security solutions.”
  • No additional project or client details should be disclosed beyond this.

5. Intellectual Property and Security

  • Consultants must respect all NDAs, data protection policies, and intellectual property rights.
  • Any violation of this policy may be considered a breach of contract, resulting in immediate termination of the engagement and potential legal action under English law.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

  • VDC.cloud reserves the right to monitor public social media content for policy compliance.
  • Any identified breaches will be formally investigated and addressed.
